Had a chat today with Jason Rost a director from Project 891 (who was an extra in Epic) about Ballyhoo. This piece is gong to be performed at the North Lakeside Cultural Center. We get to use the whole mansion! The floor plan is large and open and I get to decorate it like a beautiful Christmas wonderland (even though the family is jewish) It opens the weekend of Thanksgiving and runs thru mid-December which is the perfect time to go see some theatre.
I have the pleasure to be working with my roommate Jeff on a production of Hamlettes. The story is about three teenage girls practicing a production of Hamlet. The line that speaks to the story of the play the most is "So Shakespeare tells us not to mix up our own problems with art's problems or else they're all going to be our problems" This establishes the arc for the rest of the piece. I also love the imagery in this piece. There is a beautiful bathtub and a ton of blue beads. It goes up at Gorilla Tango mid October. More information to come later!
We opened Lend Me A Tenor this past Friday! After a grueling tech process we finally got the finishing touches on the set and so started the run of the show. I am relived that my Uncle was gracious enough to let me stay in his house in Naperville, being able to stay in the area allowed me the late nights without a long drive back to the city. I also have to thank my director Joe for being so patient and clear of his expectations in this process. He's a man who knows what he wants and what he doesn't and has no qualms about voicing his opinion. I look forward to working with him in the future.

Just took 30 min. to sketch out possible layout and text for the poster. Here's a little taste of what the poster might be. Side note, I love sketching in photoshop.
The first poster is my initial sketch and the second is our teaser until we cast the show (we need jimmy's face for the legit one)
