Iphigenia Crash Land Falls on the Neon Shell that Once was Her Heart (a rave fable)
Directed By: Tony Adams | Halcyon | Chicago, Il Video Design By: Davonte Johnson
Tribune: Technically, this is the most assured and
sophisticated production I've seen from Halcyon. Rasean Davonte Thomas
video design (incorporating acid-tinged animation from Annie Hu),
fills the walls of Steph Charaska's industrial nightclub setting
without overwhelming the onstage action.
Theatre Blog: To their credit, Adams and video designer Rasean Davonte
Thomas Johnson do a mostly fantastic job with integrating stage action
and video. Steph Charaska’s set and Pete Dully’s lights make the world
jump to life.
New City Stage: Iphigenia
wanders the streets of her unnamed country (well represented by the
nicely stylized black and white of the set design by Steph Charaska)
Time Out Chicago: Steph Charaska’s scenic design has a dynamic forced-perspective feel.
